Mitra is a Senior Research Analyst in the TBR Observatory team responsible for the management and development TCR, our unique longitudinal database of UK firm information. She is also involved in managing and delivering a wide range of projects for TBR.
She is an experienced data analyst with a strong understanding of data management and analysis, bringing a wealth of experience from a broad range of sectors. This includes working in the private and public sectors, both within the UK and internationally. She has produced analysis for clients from a variety of industries including law enforcement, insurance, defence, creative and healthcare.
She has strong technical skills and is adept in effectively modelling, managing and manipulating data using a variety of platforms. Mitra has an adaptable skillset having been trained in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and also holds a strong background in project management. She has a history of leading on client projects and performs effectively at all stages of the project cycle. Recently, she has developed a keen interest in exploring innovative visualisations of analysis to enhance the effectiveness of dissemination to clients. She has a passion for discovering and exploiting new data sources and effectively integrating disparate data sets. As an example, she is experienced in manipulating social media and web content to enhance analytical projects. As a result her skills are also being utilised to identify opportunities to enhance TBR’s database and highlight analytical opportunities and solutions this may subsequently offer clients.
Mitra gained a BSc in Psychology from University of Leeds, followed by an MSc in Research Methods in Psychological Science from Glasgow University. On top of this Mitra holds a Diploma in Crime and Intelligence Analysis from the Scottish Police College.
Outside of work, Mitra is all about food, antiques and negronis.
Mitra is currently on maternity leave and will be returning to work in winter 2017.
