Fiona heads up the delivery of TBR’s team of research consultants and also undertakes many of TBR’s business development activities.

One of Fiona’s key strengths is moving forward the information and evidence generated through programmes of primary and secondary research to provide interpretation and understanding. Fiona regularly acts as project manager or project director on TBR’s large-scale projects. She also takes the lead on our work in TBR’s Skills and Creative Research themes. Fiona’s role requires a multifaceted skill-set, drawing upon her expertise in the manipulation and interpretation of data. Fiona is also highly experienced in the design and administration of questionnaires and other survey tools and has a wealth of experience in one-to-one interviewing and focus group facilitation.

Fiona has managed many projects at TBR, notably examples of which include researching  Women in Leadership in the Creative and Cultural Sector and a mapping study of voluntary arts organisations in England for DCMS Our Creative Talent: the voluntary and amateur arts in England.

Since joining TBR Fiona’s passion for research has only increased, fuelled by the knowledge that the work we do helps shape the development of the UK, at a micro and macro level. Fiona has particular experience in the UK skills agenda as well as arts & culture and entrepreneurship. Fiona is a Certified PRINCE2 Practitioner and an Associate Member of the Market Research Society. She studied at Newcastle University, gaining a First Class Honours degree in Applied Communication and previously worked for the government as part of a task force team for the Child Support Agency.
