Research & Development Sector in the South East
This project is to undertake a review of commercial research and development in the South Eastern region in order to meet the following objectives:
- To 'map' commercial R&D in the region
- To suggest an appropriate segmentation and to review in detail an agreed number of these
- To identify where in particular regional R&D supports other of the region's clusters
- To suggest appropriate support strategies
R&D in the South East has been identified to be a cluster in its own right - as well as being crucial as a support to other regional (and national clusters). It is considered by DTI to be a significant national asset.
