Business-led regeneration
In March of 2003 TBR were awarded from ODPM, in conjunction with URBED and the University of Cambridge, a project to study business-led regeneration. The project focuses on:
- Identifying the impact of businesses in deprived areas
- Determining how that impact varies by type of business
- How policy affects that impact
The research will deliver a baseline (do particular types of business deliver more or less in deprived areas?), and identify constraints on delivery.
The results of this project will inform Small Business Service and local and neighbourhood authorities.
