Financial and tax incentives in the East Midlands
For EMDA, TBR will be carrying out a research project with the aim of mapping existing financial (business grants etc) and tax incentives within the main urban areas of the region, in a bid to assess the impact these incentives are having on the urban renaissance of the East Midlands region.
The research aims and objectives are:
- Provide emda with a clear understanding of existing financial and tax incentives. Where applicable also provide information about timescales of these incentives.
- Critical analysis of current provision, including identifying successful interventions and incentives.
- Identify take up of incentives and where gaps in provision exist.
- Assess the impact of activity in relation to emda's Urban Action Plan and our Regional Economic Strategy.
- Suggest tangible steps and actions that would be essential in addressing these gaps.
