Mapping the North East's Digital Cluster
Early in 2004 TBR were appointed by Codeworks, the North East Centre of Excellence for the digital industry, to conduct a detailed cluster mapping project of the digital industry in the North East. The main aims are:
- To develop a thorough understanding of the constituent components of the cluster
- To investigate the issues faced by the various components of the cluster
- To understand the regional context for the businesses within the cluster and how that compares with other parts of the UK
These aims will be met through a research process that involves a detailed interrogation of TBR's Trends Central Resource, face-to-face and telephone interviews with over 60 firms and organisations key to the industry, and development of key recommendations for Codeworks.
